The separation principle of cathode materials for ternary lithium batteries by dry powder magnetic separators
The cathode materials of ternary lithium batteries are usually composed of metal oxides such as nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) or nickel cobalt aluminum (NCA). During the production process, some magnetic impurities may be mixed in, such as metal particles like iron and cobalt or their oxides. These magnetic impurities have a certain degree of magnetism, while the cathode materials of ternary lithium batteries themselves are generally weakly magnetic or non-magnetic substances.
