Permanent Magnetic Drum Separator Improves Iron Recovery Rate of Steel Slag to Over 90%

In June 2026, a large steel slag processing plant in Tangshan, Hebei, officially put the CTB1030 permanent magnetic drum separator into operation for iron recovery and tailings purification of industrial steel slag. Adopting high-performance neodymium iron boron magnetic system with stable magnetic strength and continuous pole changing design, the equipment effectively prevents iron material adhesion and solves the problems of material blockage and unsmooth slag discharge of traditional magnetic separators. After commissioning, the production line can process 800 tons of steel slag per day, with a stable iron recovery rate of over 90%. The iron content of discharged tailings is controlled below 1.5%, which can be directly used as construction aggregate to realize full resource utilization. The equipment has operated stably for 4 years with magnetic attenuation controlled within 3%, creating an annual additional profit of more than 12 million RMB and becoming a benchmark project for steel slag resource recycling in North China.
