In June 2026, a Spanish environmental technology enterprise launched an upgraded sorting solution of permanent magnetic drum and eddy current separator, specially designed for impurity removal of PET and HDPE waste recycled plastics. The permanent magnetic drum first efficiently removes all ferromagnetic metal impurities, while the eddy current separator separates non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper from plastic materials, solving the long-term industry pain point of mixed metal impurities that cannot be completely sorted by traditional equipment. Field tests show that under a high material flow speed of 3m/s, the ferromagnetic iron removal rate reaches 99.9%, and the non-ferrous metal separation rate is up to 99.7%. The metal residue of recycled plastics is reduced from 1200ppm to below 5ppm. With EU CE certification, this solution received 8 production line orders from Germany and France in June, fully complying with the high metal recovery requirements of the EU 2025 Circular Economy Act.
